FAQ

  • My QR code does not work

Sometimes the laser cutter means the QR Code doesn’t scan. You can jump straight to the YouTube Channel here instead (that’s where the QR code links to).

  • I don't know any knots, how do I use this?

Don’t worry, no prior knot knowledge is required! Hop over to the Wee Knot Block YouTube Channel, chose a knot you’d like to learn, find the video and learn along with Biscuit.

  • The knot I want to learn isn't on your YouTube Channel

We are busy uploading knot tutorials to populate the channel. Hopefully your knot will be there soon but feel free to drop us an email with a request.

  • Is this just for kids?

While it’s great for kids, it’s just as much fun for adults. And adults and children playing and learning together.

If you’re learning more advanced knots for sailing, mountaineering or other outdoor awards/professions the Wee Knot Block is a brilliant learning tool that you can take anywhere. It’s also a perfect answer for those who don’t have any bits of spare rope at home to practice with.

If you’re teaching knots then again, this is a brilliant learning resource for the classroom - whether that’s indoors or outdoors.

  • It feels quite expensive

The component parts of the Wee Knot Block all add up. Then there’s the Workshop time to shape, drill, cut, smooth, laser and wax before it comes home to us to cut, thread and knot the ropes. It’s a quality wooden product that’s made to last.

By buying a Wee Knot Block you are also supporting a small Scottish rural business and a social enterprise supporting young and disadvantaged people into employment. Your purchase really makes a difference!

  • Is this the same Biscuit as Wee Adventures?

Yes, it sure is! Biscuit first designed the double knot block for his daughters and realised that they would make great gifts and learning resources for lots of outdoorsy folk.

  • I would like some for my school or club, do we have to pay full price?

We would love for the Wee Knot Blocks to find their way into schools and clubs. We can do trade deals for sales of more than 10 Wee Knot Blocks.

  • Can I sell these in my shop?

Yes please! Just drop us an email and we can sort out a trade deal.

  • Why is he called Biscuit?

That’s a story best told by Biscuit himself, nobody tells it better …!
